Welcome to FSWC in Winnipeg, Manitoba! We specialize in rehabilitation for people with neuromuscular disorders. We help our clients regain function through the use of leading edge intensive exercise-based rehabilitation programs.

FSWC is a non-profit organization with charitable status. We provide leading edge intensive activity-based therapy (ABT) to people with spinal cord injuries and associated disorders.
We have also adapted our methods to provide ABT to individuals who have experienced stroke or traumatic brain injuries, as well as those with other neurological conditions.
Our goal is to help improve the motor function of individuals who have suffered neurological trauma or who have neurological conditions, thus increasing independence and ultimately improving overall quality of life.

First Steps Wellness Centre (FSWC) is a specialized rehabilitation facility that was established in 2010 to promote functional recovery in individuals with a spinal cord injury. Our methods differ from traditional rehabilitation as we focus on promoting functional gains below the level of injury through intensive, activity-based recovery methods.
Measuring Success
FSWC has helped 12% of our clients to walk again after a spinal cord injury, and we take pride in a 94% increase in mobility and independence through functional gains.
Therapy for Associated Disorders
FSWC exists to fill a gap in community-based health services for neurological disorders and we will do our best to accommodate all conditions within that category.
Activity-based therapy methods have proven to be effective with several different conditions, and we are always willing to work with new clients.

FSWC is a non-profit organization with charitable status. Established in 2010, we provide innovative activity-based therapy to people with spinal cord injuries. We have also applied our methods to associated disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke and traumatic brain injuries.
FSWC programs are custom-designed for our clients using the latest research, equipment, and activity-based therapy methods. Our goal is to help improve the motor function of people who have suffered neurological trauma or who have neurological conditions. Ultimately this will help to improve their independence and overall quality of life.
